Cut from the Same Cloth
2024 · Photography, Textile
Cut From the Same Cloth is a photographic inquiry into cultural memory and the construction of home through a biracial lens. The series imagines an alternate upbringing in which Nigerian and Indian identities are held in continuity rather than separation. Through textiles such as aso-oke, saree, and gele, the work weaves together material, memory, and belonging.
